NL Health Services is advising the public of the update to the following temporary changes to the availability of emergency services at Fogo Island Health Centre. There will be a virtual ER from today to Friday at 8:00 a.m.
This is due to human resource challenges.
When a Virtual ER is operating, residents can proceed to the ER at the Fogo Island Health Centre as usual. There will be a health-care professional onsite, as well as a physician or nurse practitioner by video.
