Hopedale RCMP arrests impaired ATV operator
On Saturday, Hopedale RCMP stopped a 45-year-old female all-terrain vehicle (ATV) operator and arrested her for impaired operation.
On August 16, 2025, shortly after 6:30 p.m., a Hopedale RCMP officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop with the operator of an ATV being driven slowly down the middle of Carpenter’s Drive.
The woman showed signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently arrested for impaired operation. She provided two breath samples that were nearly three times the legal limit. The woman wasn’t licenced and her ATV was removed from the roadway.
The woman was released from custody and is set to appear in court on Nov. 25 to answer to charges of impaired operation.
