Just after 7:00 p.m., the RNC responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Avalon Mall.

The male suspect brandished a weapon after being approached by staff and fled the area on foot.

The 33-year-old was located a short time later in another area of the city.

Officers arrested and charged the man with armed robbery.

The accused will appear in court this morning.
