Riverside Drive in Corner Brook remains closed today.

The City is working with a Geotech Engineer to determine slope stability before moving heavy equipment into the area. The area is still saturated and officials will monitor water seepage over the upcoming weeks, allowing for the area to dry.

Once the area dries, the slope will need to be assessed to model the slope and provide recommendations on permanent remediation and reinstatement.

Residents are advised to avoid Riverside Drive and the area of Confederation Drive extension which is uphill from this incident.
