Over $2 million allocated for renovations at two schools in the province

Contracts totaling approximately $2.4 million have been awarded for renovations to two schools in the province. A contract for $1.45 million has been awarded for the replacement of windows and doors at MacDonald Drive Elementary in St. John’s.

In Labrador, a contact valued at $938,481 has been awarded for renovations at St. Mary’s All Grade School in Mary’s Harbour.

Budget 2023 includes a historic investment in provincial highways and roads, as well as new schools and health care facilities. More than $1.1 billion has been allocated for infrastructure, including more than $127 million for new schools in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, Cartwright and Kenmount Terrace in St. John’s, as well as the redevelopment of the school in Pilley’s Island.
