Showers may be heavy at times, particularly in Bonavista, where rainfall amounts could reach 10 mm, with locally up to 20 mm in the heaviest downpours. St. John’s is expected to receive 2 to 4 mm of rain, with locally up to 10 mm. Fog patches dissipate through the day. Wind becomes north 20 km/h, gusting to 40 in Bonavista. St. John’s remains mainly cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of drizzle this evening and after midnight. In Bonavista, periods of drizzle or showers end near midnight before skies begin to clear. North to northwest winds continue at 20 km/h, gusting to 40. Low 7.

Conditions improve with sunshine returning. St. John’s clears early before increasing cloudiness in the afternoon, while Bonavista starts sunny before becoming a mix of sun and cloud with a 60 per cent chance of afternoon showers.
