State of emergency continues as wildfire evacuations hit one week
Evacuees in Conception Bay North remain in Carbonear as a state of emergency was declared this week on the Bay de Verde Peninsula north of Bristol’s Hope and Whiteway. Premier John Hogan announced Sunday that some equipment from Quebec and Ontario has been delayed, but a high-capacity helicopter is coming from Manitoba. NTV’s Bailey Howard reports.
