The deadline for the Registered Retirement Savings Plan contributions for 2025 is here and contributions made in the first 60 days of the year could help lower last year’s tax bill. Still, many continue to face anxieties over retirement planning in a challenging economy.
For the 2025 tax year, the RRSP contribution deadline is Monday, March 2nd, but financial institutions recommend making contributions several business days before the official deadline to ensure they are processed in time for the first 60 days tax receipt. A recent RBC financial independence poll revealed that up to 64% of young adults are anxious about what the future holds for their finances.
Over half of the millennial demographic report they have little or no money left to invest in retirement savings after paying monthly bills.
