Police arrests and charges man for uttering threats, controlled substance located

A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged by Gander RCMP on Wednesday for uttering threats, failure to comply with a release order and possession of a controlled substance.

Just after 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 7, Gander RCMP responded to a report of a man threatening another person. Police located him and placed him under arrest for uttering threats.

Brandon Lynch, 22, was also found to be in breach of court-ordered conditions and in possession of cocaine.

He has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Uttering threats,
  • Failure to comply with a condition of a Release Order,
  • Possession of a controlled drug or substance – cocaine.

He is also facing charges of assault (two counts) and criminal harassment in relation to a previous incident.
