A 34-year-old man had his vehicle impounded by Placentia RCMP on Saturday, after he was stopped for speeding and found to be operating without a valid driver’s license.

At approximately 2:24 p.m. on Nov. 1, an officer on patrol observed a drive travelling 90 km/hour through a 50 km/hr zone in Jerseyside. A traffic stop was conducted, and police determined that the driver — a 34-year-old man from Freshwater — was operating with a suspended driver’s license.

His vehicle was seized and impounded, and he was issued tickets under the Highway Traffic Act for speeding and driving while disqualified.
