Placentia RCMP impounds uninsured vehicle, tickets unlicensed driver
A 33-year-old man from Placentia is without his vehicle after he was discovered to be operating without a valid driver’s licence or insurance on Thursday afternoon.
Shortly before 3:00 p.m., on Dec. 11, an officer at the detachment in Placentia observed a passenger vehicle travelling in the Prince William Drive area and determined the vehicle did not have a valid insurance policy.
A traffic stop was attempted, however, the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of a nearby drug store. The driver — a 33-year-old Placentia man — exited his vehicle, entered the business and proceeded to leave through another door.
Police located the man who was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license. He was ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act for driving while disqualified and operating a vehicle without valid insurance. His vehicle was seized and impounded by police.
