One person taken into custody following incident in west end of St. John’s
One person has been taken into police custody following an incident in the west end of St. John’s on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred in an area behind Sobeys on Topsail Road, on a narrow path leading to Barachois Street. Police cordoned off an area, including a small area in front of the supermarket, as officers gathered evidence.
While few details were immediately known, police did confirm that one person was taken into police custody, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
