Man charged with sexual assault in downtown St. John’s
Police arrested a man for sexual assault in downtown St. John’s early Saturday morning.
On June 27 at about 1:55 a.m., RNC patrol officers were approached by a woman in the downtown area of St. John’s wishing to report an assault. After further investigation, officers found and arrested a 42-year-old male matching the description.
The man was charged with sexual assault and taken to the St. John’s city lockup to be held for court in the morning.
