Man accused of murder expected back in court this week
A St. John’s man suspected of a murder last month in the centre of the city is due back in provincial court this week. Jordan Woods, 27, is charged with second-degree murder. It’s in connection with an incident that happened Oct. 31. At around 1:45 that afternoon, police responded to a home on Suvla Street in the Rabbittown area of the capital city.
NTV has learned it was the same house where Woods had been living. When officers arrived, a 28-year-old man – Cameron Power-Manning of Torbay – was found dead in the residence.
Police aren’t saying how Power-Manning died or whether a weapon was used. In the last court appearance, lawyers will still awaiting further information from police.
