Inside Story: Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre provides over 130 turkey dinners to people in need
More than 130 turkey dinners were handed out today in downtown St. John’s. It’s that time of year when organizations try to do a little extra for those in need, who are feeling the stress of the holiday season.
At the Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre folks are dedicating to supporting those in need. Neil Peet says the soup kitchen here has been in operation now, for about two decades, serving thousands of meals to Newfoundland and Labrador residents.
Peet says Wednesday afternoon’s holiday dinner was supported by Fortis Energy, Nasdaq Verafin, Hydro, The Delta and the NL Association of Realtors.
