Clarenville Regional Arts Association reaches major milestone with official incorporation

Arts & Entertainment, News

The Clarenville Regional Arts Association (CRAA) has announced its official transition to a provincially incorporated non-profit organization. This step marks a new chapter for the local arts community, providing the structural foundation needed to expand programming and secure the future of the arts in the region.

By becoming an incorporated body, the association is now positioned to apply for significant federal and provincial grants, enter into formal agreements, and provide more robust support for theatre, visual arts, music, and craft within the Clarenville area.

“Incorporation is more than just paperwork; it’s a commitment to the longevity of our cultural landscape,” says Jennifer Kaye, Chairperson of the CRAA. “This status gives us the credibility and the tools to dream bigger, whether that’s through enhanced community workshops, larger-scale events, or dedicated arts spaces.”

The CRAA Board of Directors includes: Rowena Avery, Jennifer Kaye, Theresa Pynn, Una Healey, Deidra Strowbridge, Bonnie Goodyear, Caroline Bungay, and Paul Tilley.

The CRAA invites community members, local artists, and supporters to join in celebrating this achievement. As the organization moves forward under this new formal structure, it remains dedicated to its core mission: making the arts accessible, vibrant, and sustainable for everyone in the Clarenville region.
