Clarenville RCMP responds to report of an assault, one woman faces multiple charges

A 38-year-old woman was arrested by Clarenville RCMP on Friday in relation to an assault in George’s Brook. At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 13, police received a report of an assault in the community of George’s Brook-Milton. The suspect approached the victim at their place of work and physically attacked them.

The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening. The incident was isolated in nature with no risk to public safety.

Police located and arrested Robyn Mitchell in connection to the assault. She was held in police custody over the weekend and is expected to appear in provincial court today to answer to charges of:

  • Assault causing bodily harm,
  • Assault,
  • Uttering threats against a person,
  • Mischief under $5,000 – Damage to Property.

The investigation continues.
