Caribou active on Northern Peninsula Roads
It’s that time of year again when there is an increase of caribou on portions of the Northern Peninsula.
The St. Anthony caribou herd overwinters in the area between Eddies Cove East, Cooks Harbour and the St. Anthony Airport, as well as St. Anthony to Main Brook.
Recent observations indicate a significant number of animals using the roads at these locations.
