Candidate nomination deadline approaching
Elections Newfoundland and Labrador advises all potential candidates for the 2025 General Election that the deadline for filing nomination papers is 2:00 p.m. this Tuesday, Sept. 23, (1:30 p.m. in most of Labrador).
Nomination papers, along with a $200 deposit, must be filed with the Returning Officer for the district in which the candidate intends to run. This process is separate from the political party nomination process, and all candidates are required to file.
