Another winter storm hitting the province
Another winter storm is hitting the province Saturday night into Sunday, bringing upwards of 30 cm of snow on the southern Avalon and as much as 20 cm for the metro region.
The system is also expected to bring winds in excess of 80 km/h. It’s just the latest series of storms that have hit eastern Newfoundland in recent weeks, including a system that battered the region just several days ago, bringing over 50 cm of snow for much of metro, closing schools and businesses for two days.
The latest system is also impacting travel with some flights already being canceled.
