On Sunday morning the RNC responded to an assault complaint at a residence in Mount Pearl.

Officers spoke with the female victim who advised that her son had assaulted her. The uncooperative 26-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, resisting arrest and breaching a release order.

The accused was taken to the lockup and held to attend court.
