RCMP Traffic Services West and Rocky Harbour RCMP stop excessive speeder on Route 430
A 20-year-old driver is without her car and licence after she was stopped for excessive speeding by RCMP Traffic Services West Saturday afternoon near Rocky Harbour.
On Feb. 28, shortly before 3:30 p.m., police patrolling Route 430 through Gros Morne National Park observed a vehicle travelling at a speed of 133 km/hr in an 80 km/h zone near the community of Rocky Harbour.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was ticketed for excessive speeding.
Her driver’s license was suspended, and the vehicle was seized by police and impounded.
