Labrador District RCMP handing out positive tickets to youth
The Labrador District Community Policing, Crime Prevention & Victim Services Unit is excited to bring back our Positive Ticketing Program for the summer season.
Throughout the summer, RCMP officers in Labrador will be on patrol, looking for youth demonstrating positive behaviours in our communities.
Whether it’s showing kindness to another, wearing a helmet while biking, helping others, practicing safety or simply being a great role model, those caught doing something positive in our communities may receive a Positive Ticket. These tickets can then be redeemed for a prize generously donated by our local sponsors.
“As we celebrate summer in Labrador, we know it’s important to continue our connection with local children and youth and to encourage safe and community-minded behaviours,” says Cpl. Karl MacIssac of Labrador District Community Policing, Crime Prevention & Victim Services. “We hope to see young people getting outside, being safe and showing kindness to friends and neighbours — and we look forward to rewarding them for these activities!”
