Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP arrests repeat offender for failing to comply with court-ordered conditions
Police arrested 28-year-old Jamie Gillam for failing to comply with court-ordered conditions after he was found in violation late Wednesday night.
On Feb. 22, shortly after 10:30 p.m., police received a report that Jamie Gillam, 28, was at the Marine Atlantic terminal, in violation of the conditions of his release order. Police attended the terminal and located Gillam attempting to leave the province. He was arrested without incident and transported to the local detachment.
Gillam was held in custody, and charged with one count of failure to comply with a release order. He is expected to appear in provincial court today.
