The RNC issued a shelter-in-place for all residents of Ann Harvey Place, Sir Wilfred Grenfell Street, Cape Norman Street, Orlando Place, and Henry Larsen Street in St. John’s late Friday afternoon.

Residents were asked to remain indoors, with windows and doors closed and locked. The shelter-in-place order has now been lifted. Residents in the area can resume normal operations.

Two men and one woman have been taken into custody without incident.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is seeking the public’s help in locating a woman wanted for her role in a home invasion in Paradise.

Twenty-four-year-old Brandon Chafe and 25-year-old Dawson Reid-Shute forced entry into a Southlands area home in the early morning hours yesterday (Feb. 26). There were no injuries.

Then, joined by two women, 25-year-old Victoria Miller, and 20-year-old Morgan Voisey-Hann, the group forced entry into a Paradise home shortly before 5 a.m. today.

A shelter-in-place was issued late this afternoon after the three accused were located at a home in Kenmount Terrace. With the help of the Tactics and Rescue Unit, Chafe, Reid-Shute and Voisey-Hann, were taken into custody without incident. The shelter-in-place has since been lifted. The search is ongoing for Miller.

Reid-Shute has been charged with:

·         Break and enter

·         Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·         Using a firearm in the commission of an offence

·         Pointing a firearm

·         Careless use of a firearm

·         Assault with a weapon

·         Robbery with violence

Chafe is facing charges of:

·         Break and enter

·         Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·         Robbery with violence

·         Assault with a weapon

The two women will be charged with break and enter and robbery with violence.

Both home invasions are believed to be targeted incidents. There is no risk to public safety.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Miller is asked to call 709-729-8000. Crimes in progress should be reported by contacting 911. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
