Man charged with indecent acts at Penitentiary
The RNC has charged a man in connection with indecent acts that occurred at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary in St. John’s.
The RNC Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit was tasked to investigate the report of an inmate who was committing indecent acts in the presence of staff and other inmates over a series of days in July.
On Wednesday, 34-year-old Stephen Hopkins was charged with five counts of an indecent act. The accused appeared in provincial court in relation to the charges today.
