Housing Minister John Abbott has announced he is running for the provincial Liberal leadership.
Abbott told reporters Tuesday morning he is resigning his cabinet post to run for the job. Abbott previously ran for the leadership in 2020 and lost to Andrew Furey.
Nominations are open until March 24 and the new leader and premier will be announced at a convention May 3.
