UPDATE: At around 6:00 a.m. this morning the RNC responded to investigate an unattended bag at the airport.

The investigation is complete, and operations are continuing as normal.

EARLIER STORY: The St. John’s International Airport is advising customers that there is currently an increased police presence at the airport.

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport earlier to avoid delays while the investigation is ongoing.
