It’s another bombshell for the health care system this week, as five internal medicine specialists at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital issued their resignations to Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services. 

The doctors are citing unsafe conditions for health care workers and their patients. But the health authority says there will be no gap in services as it works with the medical association on a plan to keep the doctors.
