David Diamond, President and CEO, of Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services is retiring.

Diamond was the CEO of Eastern Health and oversaw the transition to one provincial health authority.

Premier Andrew Furey and Minister of Health and Community Services Tom Osborne provided a joint statement thanking Diamond for more than a decade of service to Newfoundland and Labrador and wished him the best of luck in all his future endeavours.

Diamond will stay in the role until the end of June and the recruitment process will begin soon.
