Churchill Park Playground to temporarily close

To accommodate equipment installation, the Churchill Park playground will be temporarily closed to the public from today until Friday, May 23. A reopening date will be provided once equipment installation is complete.  St. John’s has four municipal parks, dozens of community and neighbourhood parks and over 130 playgrounds.

Driver and passengers flee traffic stop

Around 1:20 a.m. this morning, the RNC initiated a traffic stop in the centre city area of St. John’s. The driver failed to stop and attempted to flee. Roads across the province are bare and dry this morning, with sunny skies making for good driving conditions. There are no ferry delays. Flights are on time in St. John’s, Gander, and Deer Lake.
