Memorial University to receive $2.25 million from Cenovus Energy

Memorial University will announce a transformational $2.25-million investment from Cenovus Energy to support students and programming across multiple faculties and institutes.

The partnership continues a long history of collaboration between Cenovus and Memorial, and their shared commitment to innovation, education and community impact. The event, which is set for 11 a.m. today, will include remarks from:

  • Dr. Jennifer Lokash, provost and vice-president (academic)
  • Jon McKenzie, president and CEO, Cenovus Energy
  • Mohammad Awad, Memorial student representative

The $2.25-million investment from Cenovus Energy will enhance student learning and innovation across the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, the Marine Institute, the Department of Earth Sciences and the Limitless Leadership program.
