Expanded recall on Costco product due to glass risk
An expanded food recall on a product sold at Costco stores in Canada has been issued. This is an updated food recall notice confirming the complete scope of the recall, further to prior recall notices sent on February 20, 2026 and February 27 2026.
Ajinomoto Foods North America in cooperation with the USDA and CFIA, announced a voluntary recall expansion of select lots of Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice due to the potential presence of glass in the product. This recall impacts products sold in Canada and the complete scope of the recall are products with best before dates between March 7, 2026 and December 22, 2026.
The Best before date can be found printed on the side of the box or on individual packages in the format YY MM DD (Year, Month, Day).
There have been no confirmed reports of injuries due to the consumption of these products. Please do not consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice that is being recalled. You can return the Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice to a Costco warehouse to obtain a full refund.
