Humidity and rain shifts East Friday across Newfoundland

Light showers sprinkle Eastern Newfoundland while sun breaks elsewhere Friday
The dampness Friday looks to linger more-so on the eastern side of Newfoundland Friday, bringing with it light rain opportunities late into the afternoon, but also keeping the humidity on that side of the island as well.
Once again, daytime highs from about Gander east will feel five to eight degrees warmer than the posted temperature.
For the Burin and Avalon Peninsula, the light rain bringing under 3 mm looks to arrive near the 3 pm hour, with a more widespread, and heavier rain, arriving later in the evening lasting through the overnight.
That second rain is forecasted to bring a range of 5-20 mm, with the highest totals being found furthest south.
Western and Central Newfoundland, along with parts of the South Coast and up into the Northern Peninsula, find themselves in the sun for the most part Friday.
Some extra cloud does roll through Central, closing the gaps on the sun late afternoon and into the evening.

Light rain sticks to Labrador West Friday as sun opens across Big Land
Labrador’s Friday starts clean across the board with plenty of sun.
By mid morning, some light rain enters through Labrador City taking until the early afternoon to reach Churchill Falls.
Clouds do increase into the evening for Central Labrador and allows for some light rain to rinse off Happy Valley – Goose Bay shortly after the supper hour.
Coastal Labrador does see an increase in wind through the afternoon, topping in the North Coast region.
