Evening collision in Kilbride sends one person to hospital
A two-vehicle collision in Kilbride sent one person to hospital early Saturday evening.
The incident happened at about 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Bay Bulls Road and Mogridge Street. According to reports from the scene, the driver of a car attempted to pass a Metrobus on the right as it was making a turn. The car and bus collided, causing considerable damage to the car. The bus sustained only minor damage.
One person, a passenger on the bus, was taken to hospital as a precaution. All remaining passengers were uninjured and transferred to a second bus to continue their journey. Neither driver was injured.
Traffic was slowed in the area for a short while, until the damaged car could be towed away.
