No serious injuries following centre-city collision
A collision in the centre of St. John’s late Tuesday night caused significant damage, but resulted in no serious injuries.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Empire Avenue and Mayor Avenue just before 10:45 p.m.. following the collision. Both vehicles involved, a car and an SUV, sustained extensive damage. One person was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
Some traffic was detoured away from the scene until the damaged vehicles could be removed.
