Morning fog lifts for sun and cloud Tuesday
Ryan Harding, NTV Weather Centre

It takes the morning, but most of Newfoundland will shake the fog off and head towards a late morning and afternoon of sun and cloud and lovely temperatures.

A north wind on the north facing side of the island looks to have the same impact as the south wind on the south-facing side of Newfoundland. Lasting fog into the afternoon and limited coastal temperatures compared to the low to mid twenties further inland.
The morning fog has the potential to be accompanied by light drizzle in the early hours, specifically on the Connaigre and Burin Peninsula.
By late morning, the sun breaks through, burning off most of the fog and the runway is set for those daytime highs.
There does appear to be a break in the sun for parts of central mid afternoon for a brief rinse of light rain. That rainfall collects and looks to fall between Grand Falls-Windsor and St. Alban’s near the supper hour, remaining relatively regional.

Newfoundland and Labrador daytime highs Tuesday

Minimal showers pass across Labrador for otherwise sunny Tuesday
The totals of some light rain across the Big Land look to stay below the single millimetre mark, meaning what does fall will be light and brief.
All region look to shift that opportunity, starting early morning in Nain moving down the coast. Happy Valley-Goose Bay’s chance comes mid-afternoon while Labrador West may see the lightest sprinkle Tuesday night.

Welcomed news on the fire front, the wind for the Labrador City region looks to remain light and hold start to finish in one direction, that being from the west.
