A welcomed calm day settles in across Newfoundland and Labrador Wednesday. Cloud is the story for the island portion of the province while Labrador enjoys more sun and a warm up along the way.

Cloud and limited temperatures for Newfoundland Wednesday

You may catch the odd sunny break along Newfoundland’s west coast Wednesday or across the top of the Northern Peninsula. Other than that, it’s a healthy amount of cloud from start to finish.

With a light north wind, there may be some moisture in the air on the northern side of the island, resulting in very brief and light flurries popping up for a moment or two.

Though from the north and limiting the day-time highs, the wind is very light province-wide through Wednesday. Nothing looks to gust over the 30 km/h mark setting up a rare calm day.

More sun and bigger swing in temperatures for Labrador Wednesday

Clouds spend more time apart in Labrador, to put it simply. As well, as the day rolls on the wind will shift to a light south gust bringing temperatures closer to, and in some cases beyond, the positives by the afternoon.
