Large Boulder falls into road in CBN community
Motorists in a Conception Bay North community came up on a surprise when a large boulder tumbled into the roadway and laid to rest in the lane. The rock was spotted on the coastal road through Bishops Cove near Upper Island Cove. This photo was taken by Mayor Gary Smith. The rockfall happened just on the other side of a bend. Fortunately no injuries were reported. Contact was made with the department of Transportation and Infrastructure as well as municipal officials who have since removed the boulder.
