Mixed precipitation for the Metro’s drive to work Friday before the sun returns
Ryan Harding, NTV Weather Centre
Friday is a relatively quiet day province-wide, aside from a bit of a messy morning commute over the Avalon with incoming mixed precipitation that is tracking to clear by the lunch hour.

The temperatures over the Avalon are going to start above the zero mark and moderately drop as the morning rolls on along with the precipitation – settling in the perfect range for that messy rain and snow mix. All in all, we’re likely to see moments of light snow and moments of rain adding to a centimetre or so of the white stuff and a range of 2-5 mm of rain across the Avalon.

For the rest of the island, it’s just some flurries along the West Coast and up into the Northern Peninsula while a large portion will be enjoying sunny breaks through some shifting clouds. Temperatures for day time highs seem to be slightly above average before cooling into the evening.

Into Labrador we just have some final flurries exiting through Makkovik with a light flurry potential passing through Cartwright before the Big Land as a whole enters into a Friday of sun and cloud.
Enjoy the day!
