Excessive speeder stopped on Route 320, vehicle impounded
A 19-year-old man is without his car and his licence after Glovertown RCMP captured him traveling nearly twice the posted speed limit on Friday morning.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 20, an officer patrolling Route 320 between Gambo and Hare Bay stopped a vehicle caught travelling 154 km/hr in a 80km/hr zone.
The driver was issued a ticket for excessive speeding and seven-day roadside suspension under the Highway Traffic Act. His car was also seized by police and impounded.
