Weekend Weather Outlook

News, Weather

The weekend weather kicks off a little early with some late Friday afternoon snow in Labrador West, bringing a clean 5-10 cm across the board, arriving in Coastal Labrador by Saturday morning.

That same low-pressure system moves across Newfoundland, making landfall as snow. However, stronger south winds with top gusts of 60-90 km/h will bring milder temps, meaning a return to that messy mix looking to finish as rain early Saturday evening on the Avalon, but holding as snow start to finish on the Northern Peninsula.

We catch our breath and get to enjoy a lovely Sunday province-wide with limited wind underneath sun and cloud before a second low-pressure system brings the same messy mix, with some higher anticipated totals.

We’re still a few days out, but tune into Frist Edition at 5:30 pm and the NTV Evening News Hour at 6:00 pm for time of conditions, totals and full details pertaining to your community.

See you there!
