Occupants flee from single-vehicle crash
The occupants of a car that wound up on its roof following a crash on Wednesday evening fled the scene.
The incident happened shortly before 6:45 p.m. on New Pennywell Road. The driver of a car lost control, striking a parked vehicle. The impact caused the car to roll onto its roof in the middle of the street. The occupants of the vehicle reportedly fled the area on foot.
The road was closed in the area until the vehicle could be removed. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating.
