Environment Canada issues winter storm warning for Avalon Peninsula
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the Avalon Peninsula with hazardous winter conditions expected.
Total snowfall: 15 to 30 cm
Maximum wind gusts: northerly 60 to 70 km/h.
Time span: tonight until Monday morning.
Remarks: Snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour are possible, with locally higher amounts under heavier bands. Strong winds accompanying the snow will reduce visibility at times in blowing snow.
