Jodi Cooke

Jodi Cooke began her career in journalism nearly two decades ago with CTV Atlantic and would later join the NTV Evening Newshour team.

Jodi has covered the stories that have impacted our province to this day; from the tragic offshore crash of flight 491 to devastating hurricanes and political events. She has won three silver Atlantic Journalism Awards and has been nominated for two Radio Television Digital News Association Awards, including for her coverage during her time as an embedded journalist with the Royal Canadian Navy.

Originally from New Brunswick, Jodi worked in the outdoor sports industry developing marketing strategies for the top ski and snowboard resorts in Canada before returning to school in Toronto to complete post graduate studies in Journalism, New Media. Jodi didn’t fully leave her ski career behind, she returns to Austria each January month to teach skiing to international students.
Outside of her life in news & sports, Jodi loves sailing and singing. She is a soprano with the Philharmonic Choir of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra.
