Paddy’s Pond wildfire now classified as being held
The Paddy’s Pond wildfire is now classified as being held. Work done by ground crews yesterday along the transmission line is what completed the containment. Now that this wildfire is being held, the St. John’s Regional Fire Department has contributed one engine and a crew of four firefighters to the wildfire in Conception Bay North.
The Goulds Volunteer Fire Department provided two additional volunteers. The St. John’s Regional Fire Department will also provide operational coverage for three municipalities so their volunteer firefighters can respond to Conception Bay North.
