Much-needed rain is expected today
The Avalon Peninsula, along with the Burin Peninsula and central Newfoundland, will see rain today with about 5 to 10 mm expected, which will assist in wildfire suppression.
Along the west coast, some peaks of sunshine are expected after a rainy Monday. Highs between 11 and 16 are expected across the Island. Winds will also be gusty in areas.
In Labrador, a mix of sun and cloud is expected; there is a chance of showers for Cartwright and south. Highs from 10 to 18 are expected.
