There were no serious injuries reported following an early-afternoon collision in Mount Pearl on Thursday.

Emergency crews responded to a portion of Kenmount Road, between Bruce Street and Topsail Road, shortly after 2:00 p.m.. Reports from the scene indicate the driver of a sedan lost control while traveling on Kenmount Road, spinning around and into the path of an oncoming SUV.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage. While neither occupant of the sedan was injured, the two occupants of the SUV were assessed at the scene by paramedics. It was unknown at the time if either needed to go to hospital.

Roads at the time were slushy and slippery in increasing snowfall.
