The Thanksgiving long weekend is a time when some residents consider harvesting crops they’ve been growing in their backyards for most of the summer. 

On the province’s west coast, a volunteer organization is hoping to help homeowners with that chore while, at the same time, giving back to the community at large. NTV’s Don Bradshaw has more in this report.
