Gros Morne National Park closed to snowmobiling

Parks Canada has closed all areas of Gros Morne National Park to snowmobiling until March 15. The closure is due to inadequate snow cover. Snowmobiling season dates are subject to change due to factors such as, but not limited to unfavourable snow conditions, dangerous conditions, and impact on ecosystems.

Marble Mountain remains closed today and will aim to reopen on Saturday. Warm temperatures, heavy rain, and high winds have forced the closure of the mountain and there has been substantial snow loss on the mountain, with many runs at the top rendered unrideable. There are still some events happening at Bishops Tavern.
